If you are a talented early-career scientist and have already started working independently on your you can now apply for an ERC grant. The first Horizon Europe call opened on January 12 and the dead line is on March the 9th. So it is time to wrap up and finalise your proposal.
For starting ERC Grants you need to have at least between 2 and 7 years experience after your PHD. Additionally, you need to have a Host Institution (HI) - a University or research centre based in one of the European member states or one associated countries, where your research will be conducted, but there are no restrictions concerning the topic.
